Drinks in Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire has one of the richest brewing and distilling scenes in the East Midlands. Phipps NBC traces its roots to 1801 when Pickering Phipps began brewing in Towcester. The brewery returned to Northampton in 2014 by restoring the 1884 Albion Brewery on Kingswell Street, and today brews classic ales alongside Kingswell Gin drawn from a medieval well in the cellar. Towcester Mill Brewery operates from a Grade II listed 18th century mill by the River Tove. Nene Valley Brewery at Oundle Wharf produces craft beers in cask, keg, bottle, and can. Three Hills Brewing in Thrapston pushes boundaries with experimental stouts and sours.

The distillery scene is anchored by Warner's at Falls Farm in Harrington, one of the UK's most recognised gin brands, crafting field-to-bottle spirits using spring water and home-grown botanicals since 2012. Wharf Distillery in Towcester is the county's only grain-to-glass operation, producing gin, rum, whisky, and liqueurs. Silverstone Distillery draws inspiration from the nearby motorsport heritage.

Saxby's Cider makes award-winning craft cider from their own orchard apples on the family farm in Farndish, using real fruit with no artificial ingredients.
